ILM attribute flow documentation – error

In a previous post I showed how to quickly create documentation on your ILM setup.

There is a catch on creating the attribute flow overview.

If you use some advanced attribute flows without a source attribute, you could run into an error when you try to create an attribute flow overview with the attributeflowviewer tool (in the ILM Resource Tool kit).

For example:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Identity Integration Server 2003 Resource Tool Kit>AttributeFlowViewer.exe "C:\ILM Server Config Export"
Microsoft Identity Integration Server Attribute Flow Viewer v2.0
Copyright (c) 2004 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

Failed to read the file C:\ILM Server Config Export
ERROR: Index was out of range.  Must be non-negative and less than the size of t
he collection.
Parameter name: index

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Identity Integration Server 2003 Resource Tool Kit>

There is a post on the ILM Technet forum to solve it, check for Brad Turner’s suggestion to add a source attribute to the flow.

Kind regards,
Peter
